Interludio (The Secret of Lucas Arts)

Beware of the Tentacle

Look behind you, a three-headed monkey!
Bernard

This had to be a presentation post of my lovecraftian eBook, full of tentacled things.
I was looking for the best image to use when I’ve found the one I’ve attached below. A not so lovecraftian, Star Wars/Day of the Tentacle mashup. But it reminds me about hours spent traveling in time and in the fight against the evil Purple Tentacle. And reading that LucasArts is no more (but for years their creations did not reach the quality of games like Fate of Atlantis, Monkey Island and Grim Fandango) leave me with the need to take another look at a game from the old days. A journey filled with Third Reich agents, anti-gravitational hovercraft gang, time machine and dead pirates.

So, we’ll talk about lovecraftian ebooks another day. I’m going to spend some time with ScummVM mobile (and I’ve just discovered ResidualVM, ScummVM 3D “sister project”, that allows to play LucasArts’ Lua-based 3D adventures: Grim Fandango and Escape from Monkey Island) and maybe I’ll use one of Dr Edison’s toilets again.
To travel, of course.
